AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
In early 2022, as part of our contract with Auckland University of Technology in Auckland, we completed a major project involving the installation of 1200 tambour plants and several free-standing living walls. The goal of the project, organised by Hargrave Project Management, was to break up the vast office spaces with living barriers of lush planting. The finished effect is a dazzling display of foliage and colour and an inviting environment for the AUT staff and visitors to work in.

We met with the people from Living Décor 12 months prior to our project at AUT being completed to outline our vision for the spaces and the deadlines we needed to meet in order to handover those projects on time. They brought their extensive indoor plant experience and practical knowledge to the table and gave us invaluable input into the best hardware to choose, as many of these were custom made. Meticulous attention to detail, regular communication and `nothing is too much trouble’ approach meant this aspect of our Project ran so very smoothly. TAURANGA CITY COUNCIL
In 2022 The Tauranga Council embarked on a large upgrade of its new offices on Cameron Road. Multiple spaces were revamped to allow for Staff to come from the old Council buildings.
We worked with Beau Fraser, the Programme Manager for the Civic Redevelopment Projects at the Council, to reconfigure, redesign and replant the existing plantscape to better fit the new layout.
The vision for the planting was to create a softer, visually appealing, and healthy work environment based on biophilic principles. The project was completed over a 6-month period and several hundred free standing and tambour plants were installed during that time.
ANZ TOWER LOBBY AND INDIVIDUAL SUITES IN THE 125 QUEEN STREET TOWER
Early in 2022 we were approached by The Cachet Group in conjunction with CBRE in Auckland to discuss revamping and installing living greenery into areas of the ANZ Tower building in the Auckland CBD and to `dress’ two corporate apartment spaces for the building owner. These projects required a combination of upmarket free-standing plants and pots and a range of lush greenery for custom made planters attached to walls and along windows. The install was completed over a period of a week and the finished result made a significant difference to the overall look and feel of each area.

Living Decor worked alongside our designers to transform our clients’ spaces to greener “bioscapes”. Plants and planters were sourced which considered practical aspects (light levels, egress routes and furniture) while complimenting the aesthetic of the spaces.
Living Decor are always very efficient and accommodating, and we are beyond pleased with their service.
The feedback from tenants, client and visitors alike has been overwhelmingly positive with many commenting on how the greenery has affected the look and feel of the buildings.
