Living Décor is a professional, specialist Plant Hire Service with our Head Office and Nursery based at sunny and frost free Katikati. We have over 400 m2 of glasshouses centrally located to serve our Hire plant clients in Hawkes Bay, Rotorua, Tauranga, Eastern Bay of Plenty, Taupo, Waikato and Auckland.
Living Décor is owned and operated by Victoria and Gary Allwood, a husband and wife team. We are committed to providing a first class service to our clients. Alongside our fully trained, friendly plant Technicians, we ensure that your plants will always look their best following our regular plant and maintenance visits.

It’s all about giving
We love plants and we love how they make people feel, so offering the gift of our service and our expertise, is an amazing opportunity to give back. Many Hospices and Cancer Centres, in every region we work, have beautiful living plants, cared for by us, at no charge. They make such a difference! School events, charitable events and local events have been enhanced with fresh greenery, free of charge and happily delivered and collected by us. Plants owned by our clients are loved and cared for every time we visit, at no charge and we relish helping people with advice and tips for looking after plants at home or in their gardens. Many a special plant, that has been loved by a person in an office, has gone home with them when the time came for a change.
Support is a two-way street. When the unexpected happens and `business as usual’ vanishes over night, be it a pandemic or a natural disaster, rest assured we will help you find the right solution. We gave the gift of a free plant hire service to every one of our clients devastated by the pandemic, with no limits or conditions applied, until each one told us they were okay to begin paying again. It was a pleasure to be able to play a small part in their recovery.

We base our prices on fairness, excellent value for money and flexibility. We understand that the future is unknown so our policy is not to lock people in to a contract but to give them the freedom to make changes at any time.
